Nothing new to learn
No app to download, no account, no password to forget. Your address is remembered for next time. If you can send a WhatsApp message, you already know how to use shopmate.
No app. Just WhatsApp.
Grocery delivery in Kathmandu, on WhatsApp. Text us your shopping list or send a voice note, and the nearest driver buys everything at a local shop and brings it to your door.
How it works
Type it in one message or several, or record a voice note in Nepali or English. Messy lists, half-sentences and romanized Nepali like “2 ota anda chahiyo” are all fine. We read it back as a clean list with Confirm and Change something buttons.
Once you confirm, shopmate offers your order to the closest available driver on WhatsApp. When they accept, you get their name and number, and you can talk to them directly.
They buy everything at a nearby shop with their own money, and call you before buying to check the list. If something is out of stock, you decide what to get instead.
Your driver brings the bag to your door. Pay them in cash: the shop price plus a flat NPR 120 delivery fee. That’s it.

Why shopmate
No app to download, no account, no password to forget. Your address is remembered for next time. If you can send a WhatsApp message, you already know how to use shopmate.
Typos, abbreviations, romanized Nepali or a voice note recorded with your hands full. We understand, and we read it back to you.
Orders go to whoever is nearest, so your groceries spend less time on the road and more time in your fridge.
Your driver calls you before buying. Brown or white bread? They’ll ask.
When a driver accepts, you get their name and number in the chat. No tracking app, no emails.
Send groceries to your parents, a friend who’s ill or a new neighbour. Message us their address. All they have to do is open the door.
For drivers
Looking for a flexible delivery job in Kathmandu? Sign up on WhatsApp with your name, address, a selfie, your base neighbourhood, a citizenship card or licence photo and your vehicle and plate. Once approved, send “on” to get orders and “off” to stop.
